Chairlift - Sidewalk Safari

I am obsessed with this song. I think that little riff (The One you hear first at just after a minute into the song) on whatever instrument they are playing has been stuck in my head for weeks and weeks and weeks.

Today, for my birthday, I want somebody to tell me what this is

It is simply too good to just be random. Are they selling knives and swords?
Maybe these guys grew up and got some help

like they needed it.

Meloncholly and the infinite autumn

It's getting all gloomy and snowy outside, which means it's time for some Bon Iver.

But really, what I want is people to recommend some good music to get me through the Fall/Winter.

Also, this isn't very Fall-y, but I think I am going to try to bypass winter and fall meloncholly weather by listening to Spring/Summer music and M83 is going to be what I try first.

Also, in the last two weeks I have seen Neon Indian and barely missed Phantogram both playing at the Urban Lounge. So, maybe this Fall and Winter won't be so bad if the good shows keep on coming. But, please send me your musics to get me through this fall/winter.

David Bowie I love You (Since I was Six)

I actually think this is better than the original. I am reserving the right to use it in a movie someday.

Arches

Laura and I went to Arches National Park this weekend. That place is surreal. Here is most of what we did.

The Tree of Life

I went to LA last weekend to be on Venice Beach for the rapture. Sadly, it didn't happen.

Had I gone this week, I could have seen this film, which I think is probably better than the real rapture would have been, anyway.

She's my favorite thing by far.

The promenade was Isaac Bickmore and his dear mother singing this.

It was kind of the most beautiful thing ever.
It's Called "(David Bowie I love You) Since I was Six"
She renamed it (David Bisson I Love You) Since I was Sixteen, which is how old we both were when we met.

Does she love you, you suppose
With somebody who would know
Who believes in what you are
You're my favorite thing by far

There's a fire in your eyes
I see it all sometimes
In the darkness of the night
I see it many times
Yes I'm sure it shines in you

There's no warm place left to go
When I'm feeling kind of slow (slow down sir)
Do you like the way you are
Yes it is, 'cause you're the star

It's the brightness in your eyes
I see it all tonight
In the darkness of my light
